Things To See In Malta


In Valletta you can see some great examples of baroque architecture, in the style of Malta. Once you’re there, make sure you check out the Grand Master’s Palace and the Saint John Cathedral. Other things worth checking out in Valletta are: the Lady of Victories Church, the Fine Art National Museum and the Archaeology National Museum.

When going to Mdina your best bet would be to check out the citadel, a great example of a walled city from medieval ages that still is in great shape today. Go to the Bastion Square to see some extraordinary views of Saint Paul’s Bay and of the surrounding areas.

Going to Rabat gives you the opportunity to see the catacombs, baroque churches and a Roman Villa.

The Blue Grotto is a place that according to legends saw sirens bewitching sailors with their songs. You can see a photo of the Blue Grotto below.



If you enjoy archaeology, go to Tarxien, Ghar Dalam and Hypogeum, to see some impressive traces of the past. These sites are in the vicinity of Paola. You can find a Neolithic temple in Hagar Qim, which dates back to 3,000 BC.
